Machine approval · device authorization

Approve a machine.

A machine running myco login is asking to join one of your workspaces. Check that the hostname below is the machine you just typed that command on, then approve it. If you did not start this, deny it — nothing is granted until you click.

What approving does

The credential goes to the machine

Approving records your consent and returns no token to this page. The credential is handed to whoever holds the long random code the machine generated and never displayed.

The short code only names the request

Eight characters, readable over a phone. On its own it does nothing: the machine's poll endpoint refuses it, and wrong guesses are capped.

Ten minutes, single use

The request expires on its own. A machine you deny — or simply ignore — never connects.
